Fear kicks and kills, will bind and silence. Fear proclaims its prejudice loudly, stands in judgment and self righteousness. Fear is ignorant and lacks the desire to be educated.
We marginalize those who are different, who we don’t understand and who we are afraid of.
As a friend of mine asked "How to act?" ... it's a good question.

- Preacher's Kid ... I'm not bitter! When I was nineteen I was living across the street from the church I was attending. I was watching the elderly congregation file in for the morning service. I was struck with the realisation that there were generations of people already here before Christ, doing the right thing by God. The sick feeling of being part of another generation of pharasies more concerned with outward holiness than heart and humanity awakened me. Mine is a prodigal story. Returning to faith, knowing I needed God ... does not mean wearing church culture. Before giving me your doctrine - read the gospels. As said by Mahatma Gandhi “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

Fear has got to be the single most significant driver of actions on this planet at the moment.
Fear of "others".
Fear of being/looking different.
Fear of not measuring up.
Fear of being left behind.
Fear of losing.
Fear of not knowing.
Fear of knowing.
Fear of irrelevance.
Fear of relevance...
