Let there be light ... but not like this.
I don't really know what I think about this other than it is very jesus crispy. Because even if it was purely good intentioned you just have to read through the comments at the photographer's flickr stream to discover that pure wasn't on the minds of those writing the comments.
Thanks again to my fabulous friend for the tip. I'm a little scared that you find more of the good stuff. photo credit: sepultura flickr
Preacher's Kid ... I'm not bitter!
When I was nineteen I was living across the street from the church I was attending. I was watching the elderly congregation file in for the morning service. I was struck with the realisation that there were generations of people already here before Christ, doing the right thing by God. The sick feeling of being part of another generation of pharasies more concerned with outward holiness than heart and humanity awakened me.
Mine is a prodigal story. Returning to faith, knowing I needed God ... does not mean wearing church culture.
Before giving me your doctrine - read the gospels.
As said by Mahatma Gandhi “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
